BEYOND is a prominent rock band formed in 1983. Known as “The Beatles of Hong Kong” The band is widely regarded as the most successful and influential band in China. In 1993, the lead vocalist Wong Ka-kui died from an accident while filming a show at Fuji Television in Tokyo. After Wong Ka-Kui’s death, the remaining members, Wong Ka-Keung, Paul Wong and Yip Sai-Wing, kept on pursuing their music careers until 2005. Many of their songs sang about freedom, strength, and love. Their popular songs include “Glorious Days”, “Amani” and “Paradise”.NO2. Mayday 五月天 (1997 – )
Mayday is a five-man alternative rock band that was formed in the late 1990s with five members, Ashin (vocalist), Monster and Stone (lead guitars), Masa (bass guitar) and Guan You (drums). The band is known for their high-energy performances and has released 8 studio albums and sold over 8 million records in total since their debut 15 years ago. Their popular songs are “Peter and Mary”, “Suddenly Missing You” and “Noah’s Ark”.

S.H.E is a girl pop group from Taiwan. S.H.E consists of three members Selina, Hebe, and Ella. S.H.E has recorded 10 albums, with sales of more than 4.5 million since their first album Girls Dorm (2001). Their most popular songs include “Super Star”, “Don’t Wanna Grow Up”, “A View of Ten Thousand Years” and “Persian Cat”.
NO4. Shin 信乐团 (2002-)
Shin is a five-man rock band from Taiwan. The band debuted in 2002 with their self-titled album, Shin. The group members are lead vocalist Shin, guitarist Chris, bass player Max, keyboard player Tomi, and drummer Michael. The band’s well-known songs include “死了都要爱”, “海阔天空”, “One Night in 北京”, “天高地厚”.
NO5. Black Panther 黑豹乐队 (1987- )
Black Panther was a Chinese rock band founded in 1987, Black Panther’s music had pop elements, softening the hard rock edge and the band was regarded as one of the pioneers of rock songs in China. Their most famous songs are “Don’t Break My Heart”, “Take Care”,”靠近我” and “体会”.
No6. F.I.R 飞儿乐团 (2004- )
F.I.R. is a Taiwan pop rock band formed in 2004. The name F.I.R. comes from the initials of the names of the three members: Faye Chan (lead vocals), Ian Chen (keyboards) and Real Huang (guitar, vocals). The band is well known for their hits “Lydia,” “我们的爱,” “你的微笑,” and “I Remember.”
No7. Yu Quan 羽·泉 (1998 – )
Yu Quan is a Mainland China‘s soft rock duet founded in 1998. The band takes its name from its two members, Chen Yufan and Hu Haiquan, who were famous for their overwhelming on-the-spot performance. Their pop songs include “The Most Beautiful,” “Be Cool Till the End,” “Passion,” and “Can’t Do Without You.”
NO8. F4 (2001 – )
F4 is a Taiwan band consisting of Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu, and Vic Chou. The name of their group “F4″ came from the roles they played in Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden. “Ask for More,” “流星雨” and “第一时间”are their most famous works.
NO9. Shui Mu Nian Hua 水木年华 (2001 – )
Shui Mu Nian Hua is a famous group in mainland China consisting of Miao Jie and Lu Gengxu. Their songs are featured with fluent melodies and sentimental memories of campus. “一生有你”, “在他乡,” and “Forever Young” are their representative songs.
NO10. Nan Quan Mama 南拳妈妈 (2004 – )
Nan Quan Mama is a Taiwan music group. The current members are Devon (drummer, DJ, rapper) and Yuhao (pianist, rapper). Their popular songs are “What Can I Do,” “Tonight,” “I Am So Crazy,” and “Angel’s Hero.”
